What is electronics?

Electronics is a branch of physics and electrical engineering, in which we talk about small things like semiconductors. The word electronics is derived from electron mechanic, which means the study of the behavior of electrons and the application of different conditions.

In this field we study that how the circuit works, and how we can design the circuit by ourselves, all this we understand through electronics, in this we also learn to do some calculations for the circuit etc.

Electronics teaches us how we can make our lives easier, and in electronics we talk about how to create a circuit to make meaningful work out of electricity, you know that electronics devices are very important to us. And we need it more from time to time, whereas now any work is very difficult without the use of electronics, because electronics can easily do anything for us.

We generate electricity through batteries, generators, or solar panels. The electricity generated by electrical system, but electronics can convert electricity into a particular work or task, and it limits the flow of electrons, that is, it controls the current on specific amount.

1- Digital electronics

Digital electronics

This is a branch of electronics which study about digital signals or devices, digital electronics system used digital signals instead of analog signals, the digital electronics common represented by Boolean algebra and this is basic of all digital circuit.

The digital electronics work by only two fixed values which is "1" and "0" the digital electronic perform any work at this values such as communication or store information, also digital electronics can perform mathematics by using only '1" and "0", it is called Boolean math or Boolean logic.

The digital signals faster than analog signals, means it can take more information in per second, the digital circuit is easy to make and this is very cheap than analog circuit,

Many things in our house using digital signals, such as Television, Mobile, laptop, washing machines, also computer, the computer is very complex example, because a simple computer has four basic functions like, input output, memory, control unit and also mathematical unit.

Uses: - Television, Computer, Mobile, Hard disk, USB, Flash memory, etc.

2- Analogue electronics

Analogue electronics
Analog is the branch of electronics it concerned about continuously variable signals, it mostly used in audio and radio appliance it has low uses other equipment.

The first signals are taken from the analog sensor, then converting to digital signals for storage and processing.

The analog circuit distribute into two types,
1- Active analog circuit
2- passive analog circuit

·   An analog circuit uses a source of electrical power to achieve a designer's goals.

·   Passive circuits do not use any external power.

Uses: - it not use is micro processer, chips it used in Radio Signal, Audio Signal, etc.

3- Micro electronics

Micro electronics

It is a branch of electronics related to micro components such as transistors, capacitors, diodes, resistors, inductors, conductors and insulators, etc. The Microcircuits and microchips are designed in this field.

Now demand is increasing for smaller and less expensive equipment, for this, microelectronics is expanding, and more research is being done in this field in many areas.

It is the only branch that deals with microelectronics components and circuits, and many equipment or device produce by using micro electronics method.

 4- Circuit Design

Circuit design is the branch of electronics that deals with circuit designing and analysis. In this section we talk about the process of any circuit and how to design any circuit.

Circuit design is the process of physical form, that is, gives physical shape to any electronics circuit. Circuit designing is main starting step for each project designing, and it requires create diagrammatic. The schematic diagram show that how pins of components on a printed circuit board which logically connected together.

The circuit designer is responsible of circuit designing, that makes the electrical system, and designer's other responsibilities include making various types of circuit boards and making signal processing filters.

5- Opto Electronics

This branch deals with combine use electronics and light, opto electronics is study of electronics device that detect and control to the source of light, the opto electronics equipment are electronics appliances it operate on light and electrical current.

An optoelectronic device can convert energy into light, it produces light through electrical energy, it can also detect light and transmit light into electrical signals.

This branch is lastly widening technology, this includes the use of electronic devices for light sourcing detection and control, the opto electronics light involve invisible forms of radiation, such as X-rays, ultraviolet, and infrared.

Its components made by solid crystalline material, its heavy than insulator and lighter than conductor

Uses:- Blue Laser, Telecommunication Laser, Photo Diode and also Solar Cells.

 6- Integrated circuit

This branch belongs to the Integrated Circuit IC, also known as microelectronics or microchips. Chips are a combination of many components of electronics such as diodes, capacitors, resistors. We do a lot of components combine on a very small and thin plate, meaning a thin plate has a whole circuit.

Jack Keby, the man who created integrated circuits, and possibly microchips, on September 12, 1958, was a TI engineer. Microchips develop the electronics industry and help to make cell phones and laptops, computers, and more.

Uses:- Micro processor and Micro Controllers.

 7- Semiconductor device

The Semiconductor device is a electronics equipment which use semiconductor components like silicone, gallium arsenide and germanium and as well as organic functions, the semiconductor devices have replaced vacuum tubes in most equipment.

The components of a semiconductor are between the conductor and the insulator which help in making electronics components like diodes, transistors, integrated circuit ICs etc. Another advantage is that the price is very low.

Example:-  Transistor, MOSFET, Diode, etc.

 8- Power electronics

This branch deals solid state electronics is used to control and convert electrical power. The power electronics devices used for electronic switches that control electrical power.
Uses:- DC to DC converter or AC to DC it used more in Mobiles or laptop.
