What is electrical wiring?

The electrical wiring is the complete installation of wires and useful devices such as distribution boards, switches and socket's boards, bulb holders, lights, and etc.

Which is benefit that we can easily used electricity and electrical equipment in our whole house, basically we spread the wires in a special way from distribution board to in whole house, such as rooms, halls, kitchen, etc.

Like any electronics equipment have a circuit, and a circuit has different electronics component which connected together by wires, but in electronics circuit wires printed on a thin board and wires also thin.

same like this in our house, industries, we made electrical circuit, which is called wiring, means the wiring is a complete circuit, but the electrical has concerned about big works, means the electrical belong to big and heavy appliances, for this the Light bulbs, Fan, Fridge, TV, grinder machine is the equipment of electrical circuit, and in this circuit used insulated copper or aluminum wires.

When in the electronics circuit used printed wire, Transistors, Capacitors, Resistors, and etc.

What is circuit?

The circuit is a complete network of components, it connect all equipment together by one power source.

The all single phase electrical appliances needs two wires for running, "Phase" and "Neutral", for this we distribute two wires form "Main Panel" to whole wiring, but we needs keep separate switch/button for every equipment, so we will do face to many wires in wiring installation, because any equipment needs "Neutral" common but separated "Phase" wire.

Example:-

In a house have four fans, eight lights, so we will keep separate switch/button for each one fan and each one light bulb, and like this for other many equipment, because a house have many equipments which required electrical current.

How to do house wiring / Connection

Suppose: - We want wiring for two fans, Four Lights, One Fridge.

We will do wiring / connection like this

You watch that we out two wires from distribution panel, where one wire is "Phase" and other wire is "Neutral", the "Neutral" wire is common which we directly connected to all equipment.

And phase wire connected to all switch buttons then phase wire separately supplied to each appliances.

So when button switched "OFF" then circuit will not be complete means circuit remain open circuit condition, because only one wire is connected to equipment so the equipment will can't run.

And when button will switched "ON then circuit will complete and act like closed circuit and equipment will run.

Note: - In wiring we needs to identify in better way that which place's wire will flow more current, if this identified that which wire face to more or high current, then there we needs to thick wires.

You saw in above diagram that thick wire is used from distribution panel to switch board, because this wire will face high current, the basically all appliances power or current will pass through them, and other thin wires is used, because this wires will flow low current, only such as Fan or lights.

In easy words that wires size required according to our equipment power/current.
